Here is what you need to get STARTED….

To start scheduling time in our commercial kitchen you must:

  1. Complete our CKS Online Application Form 

  2. Provide the following items:

    • Security Deposit of $150.00

    • Certificate of Insurance  – naming Crystal LLC and Commercial Kitchen Sharing as additional insureds (under holder) 

    • Norwalk Health Department License – We will book 1 free hour for you to come in and get your  inspection done. Contact Norwalk Health Department to coordinate a time that works for you both to meet them in CKS kitchen. First, check the kitchen availability through The Food Corridor under Scheduling. Contact us with a date and time, we will schedule you in. Call Norwalk Health Department.

    • Department of Consumer Protection certificate (if applicable to your product) 

    • ServSafe Certificate

    • Sign up on TheFoodCorrdior.com – this is the platform we use for billing scheduling and communication.

Do I need to bring my own pants, utensils and other kitchen items?

You will need to bring your own cookware, utensils, gloves, towels, cleaning products. We offer lockers for rent for additional storage.

Who is responsible for clean-up when we are finished with our 4 hour shift?

All Clients are responsible for clean-up and must bring the kitchen to its original clean and tidy condition. Clients must also vacate no later than the next 4 hour shift.  Clients will be charged if the kitchen is not left in its original clean and tidy condition.

          

Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes providing it is stored in your rental locker or taken off site at the end of your shift. 

Are you FDA approved?

No, we are not FDA approved. 

Where can I dispose of my garbage?

All garbage must be removed at the end of your shift. We offer a refuse dumpster see price list.  

Does the kitchen have WIFI?

Yes, you will be given a password.

COMMERCIAL KITCHEN INSURANCE

You must provide our commercial kitchen with Certificate of Insurancenaming Crystal LLC dba Commerical Kitchen Sharing.

NORWALK HEALTH DEPT FOOD PERMITS

 

You will need to contact the Norwalk Dept. of Health to request the necessary PERMITS required to using our commercial kitchen shared space.
